How long does an SEO audit take with this checklist?
We plan two to three working days for one person on a site under 1,000 URLs. Larger sites take longer, mostly in the crawl and content checks.
Which tools do I need?
Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Screaming Frog SEO Spider and PageSpeed Insights. Three are free, and Screaming Frog is free up to 500 URLs per crawl.
How often should I run an SEO audit?
Run the full audit twice a year and again after any redesign, migration or CMS change. Recheck the indexing and tracking groups every month.
Does the checklist cover AI search?
Yes. Seven checks cover AI crawler access, raw HTML content, comparison pages, Bing Webmaster Tools and tracking whether AI answers name you.
